As we can accept your order and make a legally enforceable agreement without further reference to you, you must read these Terms and Conditions to make sure that they contain all that you want and nothing that you are not happy with.
Application
- These Terms and Conditions will apply to the purchase of the goods by you (the Customer or you).

- These are the terms on which we sell all Goods to you. By ordering any of the Goods, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. You can only purchase the Goods from the Website if you are eligible to enter into a contract and are at least 18 years old.
Interpretation
- "Consumer" means an individual acting for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession.
- "Contract" means the legally-binding agreement between you and us for the supply of the Goods.
- "Delivery Location" means the Supplier's premises or other location where the Goods are to be supplied, as set out in the Order.
- "Durable Medium" means paper or email, or another medium allowing storage and future reference.
- "Goods" means the goods advertised on the Website that we supply to you as described in the Order.
- "Order" means your order for the Goods as submitted on our Website.
- "Privacy Policy" means our data use terms available at https://bitsandpcs.tech/privacy-policy.
- "Website" means https://bitsandpcs.tech, where Goods are advertised.
Goods
- The description of Goods is listed on our Website or other advertisements. Minor differences may exist.
- For bespoke or customised Goods, you are responsible for accurate information or specifications.
- All Goods are subject to availability.
- We may make lawful changes to Goods without notice, for example to comply with safety regulations.
Personal Information and Registration
- To register, you must set up a username and password. You are responsible for maintaining their confidentiality.
- All data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- You consent to us contacting you via email or post regarding your order or account.
Basis of Sale
- The Website listings do not constitute a contractual offer to sell.
- You may review and amend the Order before submission. You are responsible for accuracy.
- A contract is formed when we confirm the Order by email. You must notify us of any errors immediately.
- Quotations are valid for 7 days unless we withdraw them sooner.
- No variation of the Contract is valid unless agreed in writing by both parties.
- These Terms apply to Consumers. If purchasing for business use, let us know so we can apply different terms.
Price and Payment
- Prices are those listed on the Website at the time of order, inclusive of VAT.
- Additional delivery charges will be shown during checkout.
- Payment is due upon order using debit or credit card. Goods are not dispatched until payment is received.
Delivery
- We aim to deliver within any stated timeframe, or within 30 days.
- You may cancel if delivery is delayed beyond a reasonable or agreed timeframe.
- If the contract is cancelled for late delivery, all payments will be refunded promptly.
- You may cancel individual items if they are delayed, unless they form part of a commercial unit.
- Delivery is to the specified Delivery Location.
- We generally deliver only within the UK. If we agree to international shipping, import duties are your responsibility.
- We may deliver in instalments if stock is limited.
- If delivery fails through no fault of ours, we may charge for storage and redelivery.
- Risk passes to you upon delivery. Please inspect the Goods upon receipt.
Risk and Title
- Risk of loss passes to you on delivery.
- You do not own the Goods until full payment is received. If payment fails, we may cancel the order and recover the Goods.
Right to Cancel (Distance Selling Regulations)
- You may withdraw your Order before we confirm it.
- You have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving your Goods.
Exceptions: This does not apply to:
a. Bespoke/personalised Goods
b. Perishable or rapidly expiring items
c. Goods mixed with others after delivery
- To cancel, contact us by post or email with a clear statement.
- Alternatively, use the online cancellation form on our Website.
- We will acknowledge cancellation via email.
- To meet the deadline, send cancellation before the 14-day period expires.
Refunds and Returns
- We will refund all payments (excluding premium shipping) within 14 days of receiving the returned Goods.
- You must return Goods within 14 days of cancellation.
- You are responsible for return costs, unless we offer to collect.
- We may deduct for loss in value due to unnecessary handling.
- Refunds will be made using your original payment method.

Conformity and Warranty
- We are legally obliged to supply Goods as described, of satisfactory quality, and fit for purpose.
- Any defects due to customer-supplied materials do not constitute a breach.
- We extend manufacturer warranties where applicable and assist with claims.
- Our PCs come with a 1-year return-to-base parts and labour warranty.
- Faulty products will be repaired, replaced, or refunded within 21 days. If equivalent items are unavailable, we will use equal or better performing components.
Imported Items
- 1-year return-to-base warranty applies from delivery date.
- Returns must be packaged securely and returned to our UK address.
- The buyer covers return shipping.
- Manufacturer warranties may not apply. We will assist with issues but cannot guarantee outcomes.
- Warranty does not cover:
- Accidental damage
- Improper use
- Third-party repairs
- Wear and tear
- Environmental damage
Self-Arranged Shipping
- If you choose your own courier:
a. You accept all responsibility once items leave our hands.
b. Insurance is strongly recommended.
c. You are responsible for packaging and claims.
d. Pre-paid shipping labels must be emailed to us in advance.
Limitation of Liability
- We do not exclude liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
- Otherwise, we are not liable for:
- Indirect or consequential losses
- Loss of profits or data
- Business-related losses (if you are a consumer)

Governing Law & Disputes
- These Terms are governed by the law of Scotland.
- Disputes may be resolved in the courts of Scotland, or in your local jurisdiction if in England, Wales or Northern Ireland.

Imported Electronics Compliance and Safety Assurance
1. Product Compliance and Import Standards
We are committed to ensuring that all imported electronic products offered through our store—including but not limited to motherboards, CPUs, graphics cards, and peripherals—meet all applicable UK regulatory requirements.
As the importer and distributor, we confirm that:
- All products are sourced from trusted manufacturers and verified for compliance with relevant UK safety legislation, including:
- The Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016
- The Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Regulations 2016
- The Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2012 (RoHS)
- We obtain and retain all Declarations of Conformity and supporting technical documentation from manufacturers to demonstrate regulatory compliance.
2. CE/UKCA Marking and Labeling
All imported products are checked to ensure appropriate CE and/or UKCA marking is present on the product, its packaging, or accompanying documentation. Where required, we label each item with the correct model number and importer details in accordance with UK law.
3. English Instructions and Safety Information
To comply with UK consumer safety regulations, we guarantee that all products are supplied with clear English-language instructions and safety information. This includes:
- Basic usage instructions
- Installation and setup guidance (where applicable)
- Safety warnings and precautions relevant to the product
If the original manufacturer documentation does not include English instructions, we will provide our own supplementary leaflet or printed insert to ensure legal compliance and user clarity.
4. Consumer Rights and Returns
This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law. If you believe a product you receive is non-compliant, missing instructions, or unsafe to use, please contact us immediately. We will investigate and, where appropriate, provide a compliant replacement or refund.
5. Customs and VAT
All goods imported into the UK are legally declared via HMRC’s Customs Declaration Service. Import VAT and duties (where applicable) are paid in accordance with current UK customs law.

BitsandPCs.tech – Warranty Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions explain the warranty services provided by BitsandPCs.tech to customers who purchase eligible products or optional extended warranty coverage. This policy operates in addition to your rights under UK consumer law.
1. Standard 1-Year Warranty
All eligible products sold by BitsandPCs.tech include a standard 1-year warranty from the date of delivery.
What’s covered:
- Hardware faults due to manufacturing defects
- Issues such as no power, no display, or boot failure
- Faulty components (CPUs, RAM, motherboards, SSDs, fans, etc.)
Your rights:
- Within 30 days: Full refund for faulty goods (Consumer Rights Act 2015)
- Within 6 months: Right to a repair or replacement (fault assumed present unless proven otherwise)
- 6–12 months: Coverage remains valid; proof may be requested if necessary
If a fault is confirmed, we will reimburse reasonable return shipping costs within the first 6 months of the standard warranty period.
2. Optional Return to Base (RTB) Extended Warranty
You may purchase an RTB Extended Warranty, which begins after the standard 1-year warranty expires.
What’s included:
- Extended coverage against hardware faults from manufacturing defects
- Return-to-base diagnosis, repair, or replacement if fault is confirmed
Customer responsibilities:
- During the extended period, you must return the item at your own expense
- We recommend keeping the original packaging, if possible, for safe return
- Items must be returned with intact serial numbers and no unauthorised modifications
3. What’s Not Covered
- Accidental damage, misuse, or physical harm (bent pins, cracked boards, liquid, fire, or thermal damage)
- Software, firmware, or compatibility issues
- Cosmetic damage or packaging condition
- Tampered or missing serial numbers or warranty labels
- Products used in mining, server, or industrial setups (unless specified)
- Items that have been resold or transferred to another person
4. Warranty Claim Process
- Email support: Contact terry@bitsandpcs.tech with your order number, issue details, and photos/videos if possible.
- Receive RMA: If eligible, we’ll issue a return reference and return instructions.
- Send the item: Return the item securely using tracked and insured postage.
- If a fault is confirmed within the first 6 months, return postage will be reimbursed.
- Assessment: Our technicians will inspect and test the product.
- Resolution:
- If covered, we’ll repair, replace, or issue store credit
- If no fault is found or the issue is not covered, the item will be returned at your cost, and we’ll offer a paid fix or alternative solution
5. Turnaround Time
We aim to process warranty claims within 7–14 working days of receiving your item. More time may be required if parts need to be ordered or additional testing is needed.
6. Limitations
- Warranty is valid only for the original buyer and is non-transferable
- Warranty may be refused in cases of fraud, tampering, or evidence of misuse
- BitsandPCs.tech reserves the right to update these terms without notice
7. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Your statutory rights under UK consumer law are not affected.
